My new bank card arrived in the post today. Over the last few years I have become increasingly embarrassed at the picture of me that was on the back. It was taken some twenty years or so ago. Thankfully, someone has had the sense to issue the new one minus the photo.

A photo on a bank card. How novel. In the US a photo is not required on a bank card or credit card but it probably should be to help stop fraud.

Well the photo on my old bank card would not have helped to identify me. I looked forty years younger,rather than twenty. So it is over to chip and pin.
