The garden is empty of deer thanks to Deer Patrol. Our four-legged friend sees to that with regular forays into the garden during the course of the evening. Oh yes – and much raising of hackles and barking. A fearsome sight.
I am considering having a “post-post-birthday-month”
It is needed as an antidote to bureacratic wranglings I am trying to sort out. (Don’t ask it is both too complicated and too boring.)
When I was young – always ten years younger than I am – I thought that old age was twenty years older. Now that I am a supposedly “young-old” person I am still learning the lessons of mid-life. That is why I quote this from Jung.
From the middle of life onward,
only he remains vitally alive
who is ready to die with life.
I think it means live for today and yet accept that death is where we are all destined. And I believe more and more that the good in each of us lives on.

Getting into a book which has 1097 pages. And No – I haven’t read the last page.
Election fever has come to Argyll. But what I want to know, is how do certain parties latch onto prospective voters? I am a target but Him Behind the Wheel is not. I am not going to divulge the party – sufficient to say that I have a certain grudging admiration for their efforts.
