Communication

Have been pondering the online world and the art of communication. I think I have said before that learning new technology is good, particularly for the older generation. Now I know all about scams, spams and dangerous liasons, but handled sensibly online techies can do wonders for existential matters – such as “World Peace”. In chat forums and notice boards you see people joining in with comments from countries all around the world. Just take a couple of minutes and look at the comments on say a radio or TV programme, and you will see what I mean. For me, as a Christian, it brings a whole new meaning to Jesus saying that the whole world would come to know of his ministry. A good thought to ponder.

And it is not even a Sunday.

Inveraray treat

Went for a post-Anniversary month outing to Inveraray yesterday and called into the soap shop. They stock Purdie’s Soap all wrapped up with bows on. You can buy the range online, but going into the shop is the full experience. What a beautiful sight – all the different shades and exotic names and colours are a delight. There are samples to sniff and feel and the whole thing is like a pampering treat.

The service is good too!

Bad weather

I am starting to learn how easy it is to get hooked on computer games and computer activities. And No, I am not at all repentant. The weather has been vile and it is a case of hunkering down and enjoying doing indoor things. I have also discovered how interactive Facebook and other social network sites are. A whole new way of making friends. I’m sure it is good for oldies to have a go at new technologies.

Twitter is a bit beyond me yet, as is compatibility between music programmes. There’s a lot to learn.

Born Performer

Had to put this clip up as an extra post when I found it.
(Only 6 million odd views behind everyone else.)

Dangerous dogs

Misty was set upon by a Jack Russell terrier yesterday. Fortunately she was rescued by Him Behind the Wheel. Cue for a grumble about irresponsible dog owners who do not control their dogs. I also get furious at owners who don’t “pick up” after their dogs.

Rant…… Rant……. Rant……

Celtic Daily Prayer

A relevant thought for the day:

What kind of Christian can best endure suffering? They don’t exist.

I could handle your problems easily. You could handle mine with a yawn. But it didn’t happen that way. I got the ones I couldn’t handle; so did you.

Tick tick

Tick, tick, (not tick, tock) – off the cat and down the drain.
It’s a hard life.

Mouse alert

I am so glad that the mouse in the dining room was dead. The tone of the cat’s yarl alerted me to his hunting prowess. Why is it that he comes through the catflap with such pride, deposits the dead body and makes like Tarzan or a roaring lion? Thankfully Him Behind the Wheel removed the offending corpse.
