In the garden at the moment – in bloom – are snowdrops, crocuses and daffodils. I presume that someone has planted out bulbs for all seasons in the past. But it is a bit confusing. Unfortunately there is a goodly groundcovering of weeds, and the ground itself is far too wet to tackle them. In any case, the wind is enough disincentive on its own. But what I want to know is this. How dare the grass start to grow. There is no chance of mowing it for the aforesaid reasons, and anyway both mowers are away for their annual service.
How the seasons roll on.
