Came home today after a couple of days away visiting friends. Something had happened in Dalamory whilst we were absent: spring had never come and the summer arrived. So we had a barbecue. And very good it was too.

Wow, BBQ weather! You are certainly ahead of us, although the grocery store had mini watermelons today which means summer can’t be too far away.
A midgie is a biting insect that plagues the Highlands of Scotland – a bit like a mosquito only without the malaria!
