Evensong

Missed church yesterday morning because of visiting friends, however we had an online visit to Evensong at Glasgow University Chapel. It started me thinking about what it means to be the church online, and it seems to me that it is important for there to be some sense of community. Last night’s service worked because a friend asked me to join in and I asked Him Behind the Wheel. Result – extra participation. You might like to try the experience for yourself, if so hook up here (only works in Internet Explorer) to the University chapel webcam. It is mission in action in a cyber world.

Must write an email to the chaplain to say thank you.

If you want to try real cyber-worship, try the Anglican Cathedral on Second Life! The usual congregation is about the same size as my own church, only they come from all over the world – and it works, in a strange way. (If you’ve not tried Second Life, you can Google it and sign up… ;-))
