War poem

It takes the ten year old in the family to get his poem published. Here, courtesy of Kieran is his poem on war.

World War II

W hy, oh why did this war start?
O h I hate it with all my heart.
R un for the shelter, the bombs have come.
L and mucked up, I hate it now.
D ad on a ship, I don`t know which.
W ell some good news at last, Dad comes home.
A n oven sets alight ‘put it out!’ I say.
R eally got to dash for a phone.
T ime and time again the siren sounds.
W e’ll dash to safety 24/7
O h when will this war end?

Oh my….a TEN year old wrote this? Any chance he could come over HERE and speak to our so-called President?
What a great poem by a very bright boy!

I have to admit I laughed at the thought of our Kieran telling your President how to sort the world out. (He would too!) As a grandmother I was very proud of him and it is nice to feel duly justified.
