Yesterday, I read something which made me sit up and take notice.
You have to water the roots of love…..
In retirement I am becoming more and more aware of the roots of God's love. These last six months have been a roller-coaster of emotions. Sometimes I have felt bereft of my work as a minister; sometimes I have rejoiced in being free of work; at others there has been a kind of limbo and confusion. However, through it all has been the steady beat of God's heart telling me that I am loved just as I am. The same is true for all of us. God loves us as we are – we don't need to change first, we simply have to be.
A good thought for a Sunday as I get ready to go to church!
